COMMENT: "I had been commissioned by Orpheus Software (ironically the makers of Electrosound) to code the music for their game Sky Runner. They sent me a work-in-progress version of the game along with a sort-of-completed Electrosound composition. They wanted me to transpose this to a non-Electrosound version and make it my own - what you hear on here is the end result. Unfortunately the MD of Orpheus at the time was a complete nightmare to work with - I was young and naive at the time but this was my first experience, commercially, of trying to get money out of someone. He just wouldn't pay - kept saying cheque would be in the post, give it another week or so etc etc....looking at Sky Runner for the first time ever (on [CSDb.dk]) it looks like the programmer's deal with Orpheus went pretty sour as well. I see the game was published by another software house (Cascade?) and the music had gone back to it's original Electrosound composition - obviously I had no dealings with Cascade - they probably didn't even know about my arrangement!!.... About 1 year later, under new management, Orpheus approached me again asking me to do some more music. OK, I said, firstly you pay me for Sky Runner and secondly I want the money for the new music (I think it was an adaption of some board game involving moving buses around London???) up front - they obliged so there was a happy ending to this story."
