COMMENT: "I was hanging out on IRC on a regular basis with Waveform. Then he disappeared. I later found out he had terminal cancer. This crushed me to no end. At work I started playing these harmonies on a keyboard (I owned a music store at the time) and it evolved into a song. I wanted him to hear the track to support him in his struggle. Memory eludes me but I do believe he got the word I was making a SID for him and he liked that. He never got to hear the final version. I was completely crushed over this for quite some time. Emulation won't give this track a fair chance, I'm kicking the shit out of old school analog synthesis knowledge and using very slow filter and ringmodulation etc to slowly move through harmonics matching the octaves in sync with the patterns so that the song opens up slowly. This is lost in translation on any emulator." (TD)
